The Happy Hiccups Equestrian LLC 'Summertime Horsemanship Program' (Summer Camp) is a special all-day program where students will learn and practice all aspects of horse care and ownership, including (but not limited to) horseback riding, equine management, groundwork techniques, injury care and prevention, facility care, and more! This program is completed on a weekly (5-day) basis, starting in mid-June and running through early August. Students are welcome to sign up for one week or for multiple weeks, but please be aware that as we are a small facility our space is very limited.  Sign-up early to ensure you get a spot in our roster!

This program is open for anyone age 7-17 , and is offered at two different levels of competency.  For those with prior horse experience who want a more focused, interactive experience we have the Novice+ (N+) Program, eligible to those who can safely and confidently perform the 'Novice+ Summer Program Required Skills' (listed below).  For those who are relatively new to horses and/or do not meet the requirements on the list below, we have the Basic Horsemanship (BH) Program where learning and participation is focused on fun and offered at a gentler pace.  To attend, all students (regardless of riding level or prior horse experience) must have THEIR OWN approved riding boots, ASTM/SEI certified riding helmet, and must wear appropriate attire for equestrian activities (i.e. long pants, shirts that cover the torso and shoulders). Please remember to pack a lunch and bring lots of water and sunscreen with you - it's going to be a busy, fun-filled summer!

PLEASE NOTE:  Each camp week is limited to four (4) campers at the Beginner (BH) level, and five (5) camps at the Novice+ (N+) level!
Our camp is intended to provide a more-focused learning environment in a quiet and non-crowded setting - this is to ensure each camper gets maximum attention and participation in EVERY activity we do.
